Back What People Are Saying P.R.A.Y. With Passion Conference. I just have to tell you what a blessing your presentation was at Hill Country Fellowship in May. Praying using the list of God's attributes and the P.R.A.Y. method has been a real breakthrough for me. I have always been a worshiper, but since my husbands going to be with the Lord in June, 2008, I just couldn't seem to regain my feeling of intimacy with the Lord; I just felt sort of empty. Praying God's attributes has blessed me so and restored so much of the intimacy. I've even expanded on it some. I read the Scriptures aloud and then pray the Scripture in praise. I then go through the repent and ask and for yielding I generally pray in the Spirit. It is awesome. I usually know I've hit the heart of the attribute when I'm in genuine tears by the end of the praise or repenting. It has filled me with so much appreciation of God's very precious and special attributes.
I also want to tell you how I was blessed with the way you praise in signing. That was the most beautiful example of signing I've ever seen.

With Passion Across the Nation. Be on her prayer team. Back Overview Let me share with you an overview of the amazing way God is working. As you do, consider how He's calling you to be a part of P.R.A.Y. With Passion Across the Nation. April 2 God woke me at 4 a.m. and placed on my heart that I wasn't doing what He'd called me to do: take the principles He'd given me for my book, Pray With Purpose Live With Passion, to the churches in our nation. I hurriedly rose from my bed, went to my study, and started to kneel to pray as I do every morning. Instead, God impressed on my heart, "Get up, Debbie, and write down everything I tell you." I went to my computer and began recording all He placed on my heart. Bottom line, God's called me to begin a new branch of my ministry called P.R.A.Y. With Passion Across the Nation. I'm to take the prayer tools He's given me to every state in the US; 26 states by 2010. And, I'm not to charge my speaking fee or travel expenses. "Freely given. Freely give," is what God put on my heart for this branch of my ministry. In effect, my ministry now has a ministry. I have no idea how God's going to fund it. But the more important issue is: God told me to go, so I'm going. Later that morning I called an emergency meeting of my board and prayer team. After prayer and discussing what God placed on my heart, they agreed my ministry was to do this. Also, that morning I asked God to confirm this was His will by having a church in another state contact me to bring P.R.A.Y. With Passion Across the Nation to their church. (I had briefly shared the vision for P.R.A.Y. With Passion Across the Nation on my April 2 blog.) God not only had a lady from Georgia contact me, but also one from Florida the same day. Now I'm off to do what God's told me to do. Within two weeks I'm already booked to take the principles and tools God's given me to five states and I have inquiries from five other states. It's been a miracle to watch God open so many doors this quickly, especially since I've not yet done anything to promote it. This is a work of God and it's been a joy to watch Him work! In addition to the message in my book Pray With Purpose, Live With Passion, God's continued to impress on my heart, "for such a time as this." I can't tell you how many times a day He reminds me of the urgency to do this. When I've questioned, "Why so many states so fast?" His response has been, "You don't need to know that. I've told you to go, so "Go." I don't know what's ahead for our nation. However, I know God's calling us to be equipped to pray, to know how to call on His name, to know who He is so our prayers are directed according to His glorious nature! Would you be a part? I would love to come and serve you. There is no charge. I ask only that you and your team join my ministry in prayer for our time together. Let me know how God is calling you to be a part of this exciting work: be a host church, pray, donate toward expenses, or any other way. | Promoting Your Event Dear Friends,
I know you are working hard preparing for your event! Isn't it fun to do the Lord's work? It's exciting to pray about everything and then see God perform miracles as everything comes together! I know you're praying and that is the number ONE activity that must take place. Ministry events, while accomplished on earth, are actually spiritual events. All of heaven is interested in what you're doing! The angels are waiting to see if one soul comes to salvation, at which time there will be great rejoicing! (Luke 15:10) As you are working hard, I am prayerfully going before the Lord and seeking His face, heart, and words about the message I am bringing to you! Everyone is hard at work! One area that sometimes doesn't get as much attention as is needed is promoting the event. People in marketing tell us it takes at least 5-7 times for a person to see or hear about something before it registers and they take action on it. Therefore, following prayer, promoting your event in a variety of forms and numerous times is the single most important thing you can do. Besides prayer, this is what affects if your event is well attended. Following are a variety of ways to promote your event. (Remember it takes 5-7 times for someone to see or hear about it before they will act on it.) Pray that God will bring someone to chair this important committee and then watch God work! If you have any questions, be sure to email or us. Radio Public Service Announcement Your public and Christian radios will give free time to non-profits and churches. It can be as simple as a 30 second announcement such as: Friends, get ready! An event is planned JUST for YOU! Debbie Taylor Williams, national Bible teacher, speaker, and author of Pray With Purpose, Live With Passion will be with us ___________(date) leading a P.R.A.Y. with Passion conference. Knowing God is sufficient to meet every need, this event is centered on 26 of God's A - Z divine attributes. Call ________(contact person's name) at _____(her phone number) for more information! Or, visit our web site ____________. (give web site again)___________. Radio Interview I am happy to be interviewed on your local radio stations to help promote your event. The Program Manager will want information you can obtain from my bio. They will also want to know that I interview regularly on national TV and radio. After visiting with the Program Manager and giving him/her my contact information, please email me the name of the person and their contact information; along with possible dates you discussed for the interview. That way I can check my calendar so we can coordinate a date and time. Fliers or Posters Most Christian bookstores will let you have a poster on their window and/or flier to include in bags at check out. Place in any prominent store frequented by ladies. Doors of ladies restrooms, included! Promotional Card Promotional material the size of a business card is easy to hand to a stranger at the grocery check out line, a waitress, or a friend, as a reminder of the event.
Church Calendar Make sure the event is on your church calendar along with a link to the promotional and contact information so someone can easily register.
Church Web If possible, have a promotional link on your homepage to a registration/promotional page of the retreat. You can also include a link to my web site to generate interest. Make it easy for women to get information and register! Church Web "Tell a Friend"
An easy way to spread the word about your event is to have your church's web master add a "Tell A Friend" button to your event page.Church Bulletin
Weekly or as often as possible begin including registration and promotional information in your church activities section.Church Bulletin Inserts
A great way to promote your event is to have an insert in your church bulletin. You may want to use the promotional card.Church Announcements
Ask if the event and registration contact information can be announced.Sunday School/Bible Study/Life Group Announcements/Handouts
Find a person in each group to promote your event by handing out promotional cards or registration fliers.Newspaper
Most papers will give free space for a press release of an upcoming event. You can customize the one provided with your event, date, place, and contact information.Personal Invitation
Phone calls and personal invitations are important, sometimes over-looked ways of including family, friends, and neighbors. Rather than assuming someone knows about the event and are coming if they are able, make a point to personally invite people; enough to fill your table or hotel room, etc. Encourage others to do the same!Invite Sister Churches
Often sister churches would appreciate knowing about your event. Consider forwarding them your promotional material in the event they want to encourage their members to attend. Better yet, get a contact person in each church to promote your event.Mass E-Mail
An email is a cost-effective way to promote your event. Add a "Tell a Friend" reminder so information about the event can be passed to others not on your database.Television
Often your local Christian or regular television stations are looking for news to promote. Contact them and see if you or someone on your team can be a guest to share information about your upcoming event. Or, I'm happy to be interviewed, time permitting. Many blessings as you serve the Lord! Love, Debbie Introducing Debbie at Your Event There is an introduction to use when introducing Debbie at your P.R.A.Y. Conference. You may like to include her bio information in your event packet or on a handout as well. Click here to see the introduction that you can use. Cancellation Policy If a host church or organization does not have the required minimum of 200 registrants one week prior to the event, the host church has two options. First, they can cancel the event at which time they will be responsible for any and all expenses incurred by Hill County Ministries in preparation of the event. This includes the actual cost of airline tickets and all cancellation fees associated with rebooking, hotel reservations, and expenses incurred in shipping books to and from the event. If you purchased Debbie's books Pray With Purpose, Live With Passion or Prayers of My Heart Prayer Journal for each participant to receive as part of their registration, those books will not be able to be returned nor are they refundable. We appreciate you understanding Hill Country Ministries cannot absorb those costs. Second, the host church can continue to host the event but it will be treated as a paid speaking engagement. The host church will be responsible for the following: $2500 speaker's fee, travel expenses which include one round trip airline ticket and/or $.55 per mile when driving, meals, parking, tips, and if required, a rental car, and hotel/lodging expenses if an overnight stay is required. |
